1. Cottages in Watamu, Kenya

Located in the lush tropical region of the Kenyan coast, this project takes advantage of local materials and building techniques, ensuring natural temperature regulation inside the cottages. The Swahili inspired exterior architecture ensures that the structure sits in harmony within the context of its surrounding

2. Urban Revitalisation- Globe Roundabout. Nairobi, Kenya

This project entailed the rejuvenation of Globe roundabout, its current use being a makeshift parking lot for Public Service Vehicles. I saw its potential of being an urban park, providing a resting place for the majority of Nairobians who walk to and from the city on a daily basis. It also serves as a welcoming feature as the site is located at a transit node into the city from western and central Kenya. This intervention to existing spaces can be used to achieve positive transformation to many urban public spaces in order to bring about a more vibrant and healthier population.

3. Maisonette in Juja Farm- Kiambu County-Kenya

This four-bedroom maisonette design is a testament to the client’s two primary requirements: quality and cost-efficiency.The structure boasts simple rectilinear forms, well-lit interiors, and a double-volume lounge, among other bespoke features that make it an ideal living space for the client. The design is a perfect blend of practicality and aesthetics, making it an excellent choice for those looking for a modern living experience.

4. Commercial-Apartment block in Malindi-Kenya

The apartment complex, located in Malindi, Kenya, boasts a contemporary design that stands out from the existing coastal structures. The elevated structure not only provides a contrast to the surrounding buildings but also ensures cooler conditions for the occupants. Additionally, the elevated structure creates more space for on-ground parking, making it a practical and stylish choice for those looking for a modern living experience.

5. Housing Estate- Malaa. Machakos County- Kenya

I was part of the team tasked with designing the second estate of Maxiton Home's portfolio in Malaa area, Machakos County in Kenya. They consist of 3 bedroom bungalows with a modern and spacious design and large windows for maximum lighting. Attention to detail was a major factor to ensure that the buildings sat proportionally to the tight 40x80 foot plot, allowing for a generous front yard sufficient for two vehicles. One plot was dedicated for greenery and children's play area, encouraging social interaction among the residents

6.Interior Partitioning of an office space at Westlands-Nairobi

This project involved the interior partitioning of office space for an NGO based in Nairobi. Unlike the usual residential or commercial projects, this one demanded a highly customized approach for multiple users within a corporate setting. This demanded spaces that not only served their purpose but also reflected the hierarchical structure of the organization while balancing privacy and collaboration.
Working with an existing space presented its own unique set of challenges. Having to carefully analyze the existing layout to identify areas for improvement. Deciding what to keep, enhance, or eliminate. These seemingly small details have made a significant impact on the space's overall functionality and aesthetic appeal.
The project’s success depended on flawlessly transforming the design from concept to reality. The on-site team executed this brilliantly. It’s always a pleasure collaborating with such skilled professionals and building lasting partnerships.
